Author Notes

Timothy LeVan (BFA, piano, Carnegie-Mellon: graduate work, University of Lausanne; Conservatory of Fribourg, Switzerland) is on the faculty of the Masters of Opera degree program cosponsored by the Tri-Cities Opera Company and the State University of New York at Binghamton. Previously he has worked at Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Opera Theatre, and Ithaca Opera and had a private vocal-coaching studio in New York City. He is at work on a companion volume, Masters of the French Art Song, including the complete song texts of Chausson, Debussy, Duparc, Faure, Poulenc, and Ravel.
