Library Journal Review

The authors, one an engineer, one a Disciples of Christ minister and university professor, and both former students of Charles Hartshorne, provide a critical, philosophical, theological, social, and political analysis of the problem of happiness, as well as a critique of much atheistic academic philosophy. The authors find value in many philosophic positions while clearly articulating their conviction that need and joy are the basic human realities any adequate ethic must address. The basic moral imperative is genuine joy in the universe, for oneself, for other human beings, for other creatures, and for God. Recommended for all libraries. (c) Copyright 2010.
