Booklist Review

To say that MS-DOS is not user-friendly would be understatement in extremis, and to say that most of the books written about it are the same is merely true. This one, on the other hand, is an informative, humorous approach to its otherwise dry subject. Nimersheim takes the reader step by step through a learning process that is anything but drudgery. Each chapter builds upon the previous chapter's material and concludes with a recapitulation of the topics covered, with just enough explanation of DOS commands to be useful (not so much as to leave the reader bewildered). Highly recommended for beginning and professional users alike. Glossary; index. ~--Jerry Alber
