Booklist Review

Schaeffer presents techniques for the design and lettering of signs, posters, wall displays, bulletin boards, and exhibits, discussing such up-to-date means to those end products as computer-generated graphics, including clip art. Many sample projects are carefully presented step-by-step, and appendixes provide materials sources, computer software suggestions, further reading suggestions sorted categorically by art medium (calligraphy, drawing, origami, etc.), and "An Almanac of Displays." In all, very useful coverage of many aspects involved in creating several types of library displays that is recommended for any library with display needs. ~--Patrick Dewey
