WordPerfect 5.0 is a popular PC software program that offers the opportunity to combine graphics with text, as well as all the other standard word processing features. This volume offers the librarian user details on applications of the program, and offers supervisors the knowledge to monitor staff usage of the program. Booklist Review

This is the sort of book you hope exists when you purchase a major software package for library use. Fortunately for those who choose WordPerfect, it is specifically geared to library use of that major word processing package. LaPier gives examples of many projects--tables, newsletters, and much more; specific instructions for how something's done (embedded codes) next to the printed text; dozens of example-illustrated sections on WordPerfect function keys; and even some actual graphics (bookmarks, newsletter cover page, etc.). Highly recommended. ~--Patrick Dewey

Library Journal Review

As with any computer guide, this runs the risk of obsolescence (WordPerfect 5.1 is already available), but this guide is specifically geared toward librarians, which might make it more useful than a more general guide.-- KRAD (c) Copyright 2010.
