Booklist Review

Cornell University professor Robinson's look at farm and food policies is appropriate for readers who have had introductory courses in agricultural business or who have a few years of practical farm experience. The format is easy to use, the text well referenced, and summaries are provided at the ends of chapters. Graphs, charts, and tables clarify the text. The more interesting concepts covered include government intervention, farm policies and how they come about, price supports, soil conservation, and commodity agreements. An excellent overview of farm issues affected by changing economics. Index. --George Hampton
