Summary:

Her father Hidayat Khan, an influential businessman, has close ties with the Pakistani army. He has fixed Sehmat's marriage with a Pakistani Brigadier's son. Hidayat Khan is also an asset for the Indian Intelligence and the real reason for Sehmat's marriage is a cover mission: Sehmat is to be sent as a spy into a Pakistani military family and source out all the information that she can get on Pakistan's strategy in the impending war.
