When she was six years-old Carys "Clancy" Edwards's mother died in a skydiving accident and in the ten years since her father has refused to even let her think about skydiving, despite the fact that it is his business--but Clancy is now sixteen and she is beginning to think that it is time to break out of the protective cocoon her father has woven around her.
