"These Roman Coins are part of an ancient hoard of about 2500, contained in two jars, found not long since near Cambridge, England, in digging a post-hole. The Coins unearthed range in date from A.D. 238 to 270, and were probably buried in the latter part of the third century. They were given to the Buffalo Library by Prof. Ray T. Spencer."--from accompanying descriptive note.

Collection of 5 Roman coins. 3 coins are approximately 21 mm in diameter; depict busts of Emperor [Victorinus?], radiate head right, on one side, depictions of [Pax?] on reverse sides. 2 coins are considerably worn and approximately 15 mm in diameter; depictions on either sides are obscured by sediment and severe weathering.
