Booklist Review

Under the harsh leadership of General Clay, the rebels are preparing to mount an attack against the bots' cities. Siblings Nick, Kevin, and Cass are reunited in Clay's camp, but the conclusion to the trilogy is uneven in its pacing and less dramatic than expected. The potential to examine what makes one human is never explored, and the conflict the reader should feel over the cost of helping the rebels is not fully developed. A somewhat predictable ending will satisfy readers of the series, though the epilogue leaves the door open for further adventures.--Moore, Melissa Copyright 2015 Booklist
