Setona Mizushiro's professional debut, Fuyu ga, Owarou Toshiteita (Winter Was Ending), won the 1993 Shogakukan Manga New Author Award. Her series After School Nightmare was nominated for an Eisner Award and recognized by YALSA as a Great Graphic Novel for Teens in 2007.
