Library Journal Review

StoryCorps is an oral history project that records and shares stories from people nationwide and across a variety of generations. This delightful film features six animated short documentaries drawn from the last ten years of interviews from StoryCorps and proves that everyone has a story to tell. Viewers will quickly discover that the organization's founder, Dave Isay, is absolutely right when he states that if "you pay just a little attention, you will find wisdom and poetry in their words." The Rauch brothers' animation is the perfect artistic medium to bring these words to life by introducing viewers to the world of those telling their tales in a way that a filmed interview simply could not. The results of this superb collaboration will make audiences laugh and cry. Verdict This is that rare breed of documentary that is both informative and entertaining. People of all ages will not only appreciate this film but learn from the stories. Highly recommended.-Krissy Cwengros, Scottsdale Community Coll. Lib., AZ (c) Copyright 2014.
