Former CIA agent Lemuel Gunn left the battlefield of Afghanistan for early retirement in the desert of New Mexico, where he works as a private investigator. Into his life comes thirty-something Ornella Neppi, who's making a hash out of her uncle's bail bonds business. Ornella has reason to believe cocaine dealer Emilio Gava is planning to jump bail, leaving her uncle $125,000 out of pocket. Gunn agrees to help.
