Still reeling from his recent divorce and devastating loss of his infant son to a rare genetic mutation, Canadian geneticist Geoff Burton relocates to Dresden, Germany to work on a new project. He starts developing a human regenerative gene that could prevent the tragedy that befell his son from ever happening again. But matters prove increasingly difficult as jealous coworkers, old romances, and personal demons all threaten to impede his progress.
