As a nurse serving in Iraq, TK has seen tragedy and hope, pain and miracles. But not even the terror and hardship of war can prepare her for the challenges that face her when she learns that her husband was killed in a car accident. Lost and directionless, floating on a sea of grief and unable to care for her son alone, she returns to the South Carolina Lowcountry of her youth, to Sullivan's Island.
