These printed ephemera, aslo called "Last dying speeches" or "Bloody murders", were popular publications sold during public executions in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. They often included one or more sensational illustrations of the crime, details of the trial and execution, confessions, and poetry or ballads describing the crime.
