Book created as part of "Get Graphic! The World in Words and Pictures, " a 2008-2009 community-wide project designed to introduce Western New York teens, parents, librarians and teachers to the graphic novel format. The project also included workshops for teens, teachers, and librarians; presentations, including by authors Art Spiegelman, Gene Yang, Scott McCloud, Harvey Pekar, Jessica Abel, Trina Robbins, and Jason Little; and the creation and distribution of graphic novel classroom kits.
