Booklist Review

This book will be welcomed by the law-abiding gun owners in the U.S., for it is certainly one of the best pro-gun treatises available. Also, it should prove an invaluable source of gun facts for those who would hope to exert meaningful influence on legislation relating to this controversial field. How to put this information to its best use is covered in a section on political action. Writing letters to Congress, lobbying, public relations, public speaking, and debating are major subjects covered in detail. Included is an explanation of the relevant sections of the Constitution and information about self- defense, violent crime, and suicides. Up-to-the- minute controversies such as those surrounding plastic guns and product liability are also covered. A list of resources is provided as is a fact sheet detailing the myths of gun control. A good balance to the numerous anti-gun books of recent years. No index. FRE.
