Library Journal Review

Featured on Alex Anderson's popular Simply Quilts program on HGTV, Solomon's new wrinkle on paper piecing uses a fold-and-sew technique with translucent paper as a foundation. Using the technique, quilters sew all pieces of a quilt block together without pins and without cutting sections apart and trimming them before sewing. Once stitching is completed, the paper tears away to reveal a perfect block. The book is appropriate for quilters wishing to learn paper piecing and for experienced paper piecers looking to refine their technique. Included are more than 30 six-inch quilt blocks with templates and single-page foundations. An excellent choice for large public library quilting collections. (c) Copyright 2010.
