Summary

Born and raised in California's lush Napa Valley, Gabby DeLuca is intent on rescuing her family's winemaking reputation from the risky business decisions of the vineyard's rightful heir. Booklist Review

It's attraction at first sight for Gabby DeLuca and Will Henley when they meet at a Suncrest Vineyard party. Gabby, still reeling from the betrayal of her lover, is helping her father, Suncrest's head winemaker. Will hopes to acquire Suncrest for the large company he works for. When Gabby's father has a heart attack at the party and Will helps to save his life, Gabby's admiration for the handsome stranger grows, until she discovers that he wants to buy Suncrest from the Winsteds, the family that started the company. Dissolute and inept Max Winsted has just taken over the vineyard and is running the company into the ground, but Gabby fears Will's firm might be just as bad. When she devises a risky solution of her own, she risks her burgeoning relationship with Will and her own happiness. Spicy, sexy, and sultry: popular Dempsey has another hit on her hands. --Kristine Huntley Copyright 2004 Booklist
