Summary

Summary

Sometimes daddies are loud and playful. Other times they are quiet and compassionate. And they are always loving. Sebastien Braun's appealing text and charming illustrations follow a day in the life of a bear and his bear cub in this celebration of the bond between father and child.

School Library Journal Review

PreS-Baby Bear describes his day in the forest and all the activities he shares with his father-waking up, eating, bathing, playing, and cuddling. Each spread has a single, simple line of text. The illustrations are softly hued, impressionistic natural scenes featuring a large bear and a very small cub. The animals are charming, lovable, and expressive. The text and illustrations convey the close, loving bond between parent and child. A warm, gentle story to share with preschoolers in storytime or at bedtime.-Linda Staskus, Cuyahoga County Public Library, Parma, OH (c) Copyright 2010.
