Summary

Summary

Adrian Gamble gets more than he bargained for when he moves to Hartville, a booming mining town in the Colorado highlands. He was hoping for a life of quiet anonymity, but as the new owner of the town's silver mine, he instead finds himself under the voracious scrutiny of everyone in town the moment he arrives.

Library Journal Review

Falsely accused of a train robbery and murder, Adrian Gamble has been forced to make a new life under an assumed identity in 1893 Colorado. Intrigued by Phoebe Williams, widow of the town preacher, Adrian wants to tell her everything and have a chance at a normal life. When the authorities finally catch up with Adrian and arrest him, a devastated Phoebe fears that she may have fallen in love with a killer. Following Aiken's Light of My Heart, this formula romance should appeal to readers who prefer their inspirational romances set in the Old West. Aiken lives in Pennsylvania. (c) Copyright 2010.
