Booklist Review

Meredith is all too willing to switch places with her glamorous starlet twin, Marley, so her famous sister can enjoy a honeymoon without the interference of the paparazzi. But she didn't know that Marley had agreed to be the featured attraction at an actors' fantasy camp. This means Meredith will have to pull off a perfect impersonation, which is easier said than done, considering the fact that she's a historian and doesn't have a chic bone in her body. Tony Valentine, an e-commerce whiz kid intent on saving the family movie studio, can't understand why Marley Madison, a renowned, longtime Hollywood actress, blows her lines, dresses like a fugitive from Goodwill, forgets to shave her legs, drinks beer, and swears like a sailor. Plumley writes with her usual comic panache in this hilarious sequel to Perfect Together (2003). And what's not to love about a book with a heroine who fights the hero's Pygmalion efforts tooth and nail, all the time believing that nobody has a better time than a historian? --Shelley Mosley Copyright 2004 Booklist

Library Journal Review

With her TV actress twin sister, Marley, busy getting married, brainy advertising historian Meredith Madison decides to live a little. So when Marley receives an invitation to a "fantasy of a lifetime," Meredith decides to go in her place-and ends up at an actor fantasy camp where she is expected to teach the participants what it is like to be a star-and she doesn't have a clue! But Tony Valentine needs this camp to succeed so that he can restore his family's faltering film studio-and Meredith wants access to the studio's archives. So they strike a bargain-archive access for two weeks of serious Marley impersonation-with romantic, hilarious, and satisfying results. Picking up where Perfect Together left off, Plumley's latest sexy romp puts a fresh spin on the Hollywood scene, ties up a few loose ends, and provides a heartwarming romance for two people who are just made to be together. A popular writer of funny, sassy contemporary romances, Plumley lives in Chandler, AZ. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
