Gr 3-5-Each of these titles provides sufficient information for reports. All include basic facts such as the length, source, and outlet of the featured river as well as its tributaries and the major cities along its banks. There is also a brief history, including noted explorers of the region. Finally, the authors describe the important industries relevant to each river, as well as any environmental problems that are currently being experienced. The colorful photographs are appropriately placed and visually appealing.
