Booklist Review

Veraackson is a young widow on a mission. With a successful job and wonderful friends, she has a fulfilling life, but since she'll soon be turning forty, she's made a list of things she'd like to accomplish before that date. She can check skydiving off, which left her with a sprained her ankle. Friends send her to the emergency room, and soon her boss, Marcus Deveraux, storms in. Marcus is very protective of Vera and makes sure she is truly all right, then he pampers her when she goes home. What is obvious to everyone, that Marcus and Vera are meant for each other, seems not to have occurred to them until Marcus has a revelation. But it isn't easy to convince Vera. Schuster comes up with many obstacles, first and foremost among them the fact that Marcus is ten years younger, but he is determined to overcome all Vera's objections and win her over in this pleasant and heartwarming tale. --Maria Hatton Copyright 2004 Booklist
