Library Journal Review

The Merchant-Ivory producer-director team famed for adapting E.M. Forster (Howards End, Room with a View) does a decent if not quite as impressive job with Henry James, too. Lee Remick cuts a fine figure as the fortune-hunting Eugenia, who, along with her less calculating brother, Felix (Tim Woodward), pays a visit to their less worldly American cousins (Tim Choate, Lisa Eichhorn, Robin Ellis, et al.) for a revealing clash of cultures. There is also a conversation with the filmmakers. For most collections.(c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
