Library Journal Review

When Dr. Devra MacKay receives a call from Culdee Creek Ranch, she knows that something is wrong. Her father has died, and the person who relates the devastating news is Ross Blackstone, the ranch's foreman and a teenage crush who broke her heart. Under the terms of her father's will, Devra will inherit the ranch only if she agrees to live on it-otherwise, its ownership reverts to Ross. Devra has no intentions of staying on the ranch (she's lived away from it for years), but she is even more adamant that Ross not possess it. Devra learns some hard lessons before she figures out where God wants her and who he wants in her life. Dressed up in a holiday setting, this romantic morsel should appeal to fans of Lori Wick, Dianna Crawford, and Tracie Peterson, as well as those who enjoyed the "Brides of Culdee Creek" series (e.g., Daughter of Joy).
