Booklist Review

When Harcourt's entire new product line of exclusive home furnishings shows up in a competitor's catalog, CEO Sylvia Hansen knows that one of their trusted employees has sold out. It soon becomes apparent that someone wants not only to ruin her company, but to ruin her, too. And she is vulnerable: the truth about her secret past could damage her career beyond repair. Traveling from New York to the company's London office, she confronts the president, Jeremy Warmouth, a wealthy aristocrat with secrets of his own. Neither one trusts the other, and as the sparks from their arguments set off another kind of heat altogether, they travel around the world to uncover the real villain. There's lots of suspense in this fast-paced drama, and Hood-Stewart has fastidiously textured the many settings with details that capture the reader's imagination. Fans of the the romantic suspense of Iris Johansen and Catherine Coulter will find much to admire here. --Shelley Mosley Copyright 2003 Booklist
