Library Journal Review

As one of the so-called civilized tribes, the Cherokee interacted with and even married non-Indians much more so than other Native Americans, so far more of their history is known. In 1921, Starr recorded the biographies and genealogies of as many Cherokees as he could find across the United States, generating many hundreds of such records. The information here will provide great fodder for anyone researching the Cherokee. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
