Several investigating groups had previoiusly surveyed the hydrogen peroxide industry of Germany and reported on production quantities, plant location and capacities, ownership, personnal, etc. Other investigators had also studied the properties and military applications of peroxide by the Germans. The purpose of this mission was therefore, not to duplicate the work of others but to obtain additional and more specific information with respect to manufacturing processes, equipment and operating procedures.
