Library Journal Review

Celtic knot patterns look simple but have rules that must be followed in drawing to insure that they come out right. Meehan, a prolific author in the field of Celtic design, provides an instruction and exercise book for a 20-week course that would require some perseverance to complete. However, the detail and comprehensiveness of the exercises make this is a valuable resource for calligraphers, costume designers, and others interested in Celtic arts. This is a book for specialized art collections. Public libraries may find less complex guides, such as Sheila Sturrock's Celtic Knotwork Designs or Andy Sloss's How To Draw Celtic Knotwork, adequate for their needs. (c) Copyright 2010.
