School Library Journal Review

K-Gr 3-This super book begins with a "Be Safe" page that advises children to obtain adult permission before conducting any of the experiments in it. Each of the five senses is explained using correct terminology (iris, pupil, mucus, epidermis), followed by a series of experiments for readers to explore the sense. Each one includes a list of materials, step-by-step instructions, and an explanation of what should happen and why. Colorful cartoons clarify the instructions. This book is sure to be a hit with teachers and children who love "to do science" at home.-Jean Lowery, Bishop Woods Elementary School, New Haven, CT (c) Copyright 2010.
