Booklist Review

Lily's grandmother, Lillian, doesn't fit the stereotype. A former movie starlet, she has a penchant for getting into trouble, including being associated with a decades-old murder. But when Lily goes to Grandma's house, the Big Bad Wolf handcuffed to the bed is Sam Hunter, a very handsome private investigator. Soon, Lily and Sam are chasing after Lillian and Sam's father; a strange woman and a sadistic man are chasing after Lily; and a couple of members of the Mob seem to be going after all of them. This is a sexy, sassy, slapstick romp with many funny scenes, not the least of which is the one where Sam tries to figure out what to do about Lily's virginity. Fans of the romantic comedies of Sue Civil-Brown and Rachel Gibson will go for this oh-so-modern-day version of Little Red Riding Hood. --Shelley Mosley Copyright 2003 Booklist
