Compiled over many years by the former Grosvenor Library, Buffalo, New York ; arranged and edited by Charlotte Kolczynski of Boston, Massachusetts as part of her M.L.S. thesis for the State University of New York at Buffalo, January 1987, "American nineteenth-century broadsides at the Buffalo and Erie County Library : a catalogue and index." The bulk of the collection, of various sizes and subjects, dates from between 1830 and 1900, and especially from the Civil War era ; the publishers include DeMarsan (27%), Wehman (19%), and Magnus (9%).
