Reviews 1

School Library Journal Review

Gr 3-5-Each volume starts with a general overview and full-page map of the country and continues with chapters such as "Farming and Fishing," "Transportation," "Education," "Government," and its "Place in the World," which discusses the country's relationship with other nations in the region and its membership in international organizations. The attractive layout includes color photographs and charts of current statistics as well as maps illustrating main farming regions, natural resources, or the literacy rates of girls and boys. The texts are clear and succinct. Each chapter lists online further reading, and a "Database" chapter at the end gives almanac statistics. Good resources for reports and geography lessons.-Monika Schroeder, American Embassy School, New Delhi, India (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
