1744 edition, v. 1 : The volume was originally bound in dark brown leather, with the volume number in Roman numerals stamped in gilt on the spine ; both covers and the rear free endpaper are missing. The front free endpaper is marbled in red, white, and blue. The first front flyleaf bears the signature, "Matthew Talcott 1746."
