Summary

Summary

Time Life's Classic 80's is one of the thousands of compilations dedicated to the '80s. This one sticks to mainstream rock singles that were extremely popular during the decade, with the bulk of the inclusions coming from the earlier half. Odds are just about anyone has at least one or two guilty pleasures here, but the selection is very random. Toto's "Africa," Michael Sembello's "Maniac," REO Speedwagon's "Keep on Loving You," Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," Laura Branigan's "Gloria," Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," and Dexy's Midnight Runners' "Come on Eileen" are on this disc, as are 11 other pop hits. ~ Andy Kellman
