1830 edition: The pamphlet is sewn in a tan wrapper, with the title, series, publisher, place of publication, printer, date, and woodcut of a bull butting a boy into the air on the front cover. The back cover has a woodcut captioned, "Let dogs delight to bark and bite." The frontispiece has a woodcut captioned, "The cruel shoe maker lathering his boy," and bears two manuscript ownership notes, "April 22, 1830, ARTH," and "Abraham Bigart's (?) Property, November 1836." Page 17 bears a manuscript ownership note in pencil, "ISAAC Property Bought of Bill, Montonia, 1837." With one exception on p. 20, none of the woodcut illustrations are relevant to the stories.
