Summary:
Minnie, a saloon owner in a mining camp in Calif., falls in love with Dick Johnson, otherwise known as the bandit Ramerrez. She plays poker with sheriff Jack Rance to determine the bandit's fate. Minnie cheats and wins Johnson's freedom, but he is caught. Johnson, about to be hanged, is saved when Minnie pleads for his life.
