1829 edition: 17.9 x 11.1 cm. The pamphlet is sewn in a tan wrapper, with the title, author, publisher, place of publication, and a captioned woodcut illustration on the front cover ; the back cover has a poem and the publisher's ordering address. The title page, identical to the front cover, bears the manuscript gift note between lines of print, "Miss Mary Beach pleas to accept of this from your friend Lois, Tuthill."
