Summary

Summary

In 1963, a star was born--Clifford the Big Red Dog! Now he's 40 years old, and his original story is available in a deluxe, hardcover collector's edition with flocking and foil on the jacket!

"I'm Emily Elizabeth,
and I have a dog.
My dog is a big red dog."

This is how it all began--in 1963, Norman Bridwell published his very first Clifford book, and kids have loved Clifford ever since. He's an adorable dog whose well-meaning bumblings have great kid-appeal. Clifford is Emily Elizabeth's, and everyone's, favorite big red dog!

Publisher's Weekly Review

Fuzzy felt on the cover lets readers pet the "biggest, reddest dog" on the block in Clifford the Big Red Dog 40th Anniversary Edition by Norman Bridwell. In this original 1963 text, young Emily proudly introduces her oversize pet and his unusual tricks. Through December 2002, a portion of the proceeds from sales of the book will benefit Reading Is Fundamental. (Oct.) (c) Copyright PWxyz, LLC. All rights reserved
