1883 abridged ed.: 17.6 x 12.3 cm. The printer's imprint is on the title page verso and at the bottom of the last text page. The volume is bound in green cloth with bevelled edges and blindstamped covers; the title and publisher are stamped in gilt on the spine. The endpapers are chocolate brown on one side. Facing the half-title page is the manuscript gift note, "Mary Ann Harris, In remembrance of the illness and death of Miss [Katharine] Fry, eldest daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Fry, from Miss Augusta Fry and Miss [Richenda] Reynolds, May 1886." The frontispiece, an engraving of Elizabeth Fry, is protected by a tissue sheet. The title page has the title, author, edition note, publisher, and date and place of publication. The text pages are of good quality and unfoxed. Inserted in this volume are a memorial pamphlet biography of Augusta Fry, a posthumously published poem by Richenda Reynolds, and a newspaper (inidentified) obituary of Katharine Fry.
