Rare Book Room 1828 edition: [0]⁸ 1-97¹⁶ 98⁸ 1-29¹⁶; [i]-[viii] 1-1552 1553-[1560] [1]-462+flyleaf+endpaper; 22.3 x 13.4 x 13.6 cm. The volume is bound in brown levant, with the half-title stamped in gilt on a red levant label on the spine, which also bears a manuscript note in German on a tan label affixed after publication. The covers also have the remnants of two bronze clasps which once held the volume closed. The front bound endpaper bears a note in German which includes the name Jacob Seibold. The title page, in Gothic type like the rest of the volume, has the full title, translator, publisher, and date and place of publication, and bears a manuscript note in German initialed, "J.M.G., " perhaps the initials of the church's first pastor, Joseph Gumbell. The text pages are of white rag paper, now somewhat foxed.
