21.5 x 16.2 cm. The printer's imprint is on the title pages and in the colophons at the end of each volume. The volumes are bound in brown morocco over boards, slightly worn, with the author, overall title, and Roycroft logo embossed on the front cover, and the half-title, author's last name, logo, volume title and number, and publisher embossed on the spine. The top edges are gilt. The endpapers are in an olive-gray pattern. Each volume has a frontispiece portrait plate protected by a tissue sheet. The title pages, in Gothic type in black and orange, have the overall title, author, edition, printers, publisher, and place of publication; their versos contain copyright data. Vol. I includes between the frontispiece and the title page a page engraved in green, gray, orange, and yellow, indicating that the set has been "specially prepared by the Roycrofters ... for the library of Michael J. Shea, 1926."
