First edition: 14.7 x 10 cm. The printer's imprint is absent. The volume is bound in brown velvet and brass edges over boards, with the word "Bible" in raised brass script on the spine, and with a working brass clasp at the middle of the outer edge with the name "Octavia" engraved in script. The bound endpapers are of purple velvet; the free endpapers are of white paper in a raised pattern of leaves. The flyleaves and text pages are of plain white rag paper; the front flyleaf bears the manuscript note, "Mother of Chas Werdruff"; all edges are gilt. The frontispiece is a hand-colored engraving protected by a full-page tissue sheet. The title page has the full title, publisher, piece of publication, and the date in Roman numerals. Facing the first text page is a foldout map of the journeys of the Apostle Paul.
