First edition: 18.2 x 11.9 cm. The printer's imprint, "by The Roycrofters at their Shop," is at the bottom of the title page and in a colophon on p. [60]. The volume is quarter-bound in green patterned cloth, with tan paper-covered boards and endpapers. The front cover and spine have the title and author in black on gray paper labels; the back cover is blank. The front free endpaper bears the inscription in black ink, "Mr. Elbert Hubbard, With the Sincere Regard of the Writer, F. Sydnor Cartmell Shanks." The title page, in red and black, has the title, author, Roycroft logo, publisher, and date and place of publication within an elaborate woodcut border; its verso contains copyright data. The text pages, printed in black and red, are of plain hand-laid white paper.
