Local Note:
First edition: 21.5 x 15.8 cm. The printer's imprint, "Printed by the Roycrofters, at their shop," is at the bottom of the title page. The pamphlet is stitched into cardboard inserted into brown silk doublures inside the covers, and bound in full brown suede with yapp edges. The title and author are stamped in gilt within a panel blindstamped in dark brown and black on the front cover. The back cover. The title page has the title, author, publisher, and place of publication in black and red within an elaborately engraved border; its verso has the copyright data. The text pages are in black and red ink on hand-laid paper with the Roycroft watermark, and include several sepia-tint photogravures, one of them a portrait of Jac Auer, protected by sheets of tissue paper; the top edges are gilt. The text is set in Bookman.
