The pamphlet is stitched in a tan laid paper wrapper. The front cover has the title and author in dark green, gold, and red within a decorative panel in the same colors; the back cover features a quotation from "Fra Elbertus," that is, the author. The insides of the covers have quotations from Steinmetz and Edison. The frontispiece verso bears the signature in blue ink, "Sara M. O'Reilly." The frontispiece is a photograph of Jacob F. Schoellkopf. The title page has the title, author, publisher, publisher's logo, and date and place of publication in black and red ink within a decorative border; its verso has the copyright data.
