The volume, in excellent condition, is bound in green cloth over boards, with the full title, author, and publisher stamped in gilt letters and within gilt labels on the spine; both covers are blank. The original dustjacket, in very good condition, has the full title and author on the front cover and the full title, author, and publisher on the spine in a design in green, black, and white; its back cover advertises related titles by the publisher, and its flaps contain the blurb. The endpapers have "The Fundamental Axioms of Dianetics" printed in green on white paper at both ends. The title page has the full title, author, publisher, and place of publication; its verso has the copyright date and edition number. Facing the last page of the index is a pre-printed postcard addressed to the publisher asking to be advised of any future publications on Dianetics, with blanks for the reader's mailing address.
