The title and text pages are handwritten in black ink on plain white laid paper, now somewhat yellowed. The item is protected by a portfolio of red cloth over boards, with two half-sized flaps of the same cloth attached to the top and bottom inside, and a full-sized flap attached to the outside edge; the portfolio is closed through metal-rimmed holes with a black shoestring.
